Hey peeps! I am looking to sell this fantastic rare piece. My kid has been using it but wants a real bed. To be fair, they are in the smallest room of the house. I said ok. It’s time to move it along.

Made by Ry Møbler in Denmark and designed by the master of Danish Modern, Hans J Wegner, this set is pure amazing and a treat for the mcm collector. Its 2 bay configuration features a fold up Murphy Bed which locks into place and shows a gorgeous woven reed front. The steel legs tuck in and it is a very clean and modern look. The book shelf bay features a locking secretary unit with cubbies and locking drawer, one skeleton key and 4 adjustable shelves. The self standing unit is constructed of teak board and teak veneer. You read that right! The substrate is solid teak! This is not how modern millwork is done and in fact, even Fallingwater is designed with the veneers over MDF. The cost to make this in solid teak today would be astronomical! Everything is in working order. I am missing a leather pull down strap that was degraded but my husband currently is working on a leather project and I am hoping he can add that before it sells. You can only see it when the bed is up. No mattress is included and this bed is shorter than a twin. You will have to source a custom mattress from an upholsterer or similar (recommended for comfort) or do what we did and cut down an ikea foam mattress to fit. This piece is truly a rare gem and to fans of Wegner, priceless.

I will be disassembling it shortly and it will be ready for pick up. I would love to offer it at a realistic price for local pick up. Please purchase via my website or message me to discuss. I did get it all home in my minivan but the bed part is the biggest thing you need to accommodate. It is heavy but breaks down which is how I will get it back into my garage.
