Frem Rojle, Paul Volther Teak and Danish Paper Cord Dining Chairs.
Danish Paper Cord Repairs.
The restoration was fun, labor intensive, and hard on the fingers! 30 hours to change out about 7 pair of broken cord on each of 4 chairs! What saved this job, was the tiny staples that were used. Had this been done with hooks, I would have had no choice but to restring the entire chair.
Aren't they beautiful!? These chairs turn up fairly frequently. I do believe there were at least 2 finishes available as I have seen them in a lighter blonde, this teak and possibly a darker rosewood. There is also a variation with vinyl seats. They do not even compare to the awesomeness of the paper cord, in my opinion. Also note that there were Malaysian made copies of this chair so make sure if you look for them you find Danish Control stickers on them!
